Atlas of the Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network

By: UCSF Global Health Group in partnership with the Malaria Atlas Project

Bringing further attention to the distribution of malaria across the Asia Pacific region, the Atlas of the Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network spotlights the 11 Country Partners of the Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN). In partnership with the Malaria Atlas Project (MAP) and with funding from Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the ExxonMobil Foundation, the Global Health Group at the University of California, San Francisco developed the APMEN Atlas to raise awareness of those countries in the Asia Pacific region that are closest to eliminating the disease. Viewed together, the maps call particular attention to the growing importance of P. vivax and to the challenge of preventing malaria transmission along border areas where there is a constant threat of importation of malaria from neighboring endemic countries.

Note: Due to the numerous maps in the APMEN Atlas, the total file size is extremely large. It is highly recommended that you download the APMEN Atlas in sections.
